History

The history of Ron Centenario began in 1985, in the city of San José in Costa Rica. When the Añejo Especial 7 raised its head as the first rum of today’s great Centenario family, it was rearing to go – and not just because it was named after a famous race horse. In the following years, this pioneer was joined by many other extraordinary rums brought to life by our Master Blender Doña Susana Masis.
Ron Centenario is a declaration of love, an homage to the paradise it calls home. It is the result of many factors coming together harmoniously: the country’s inhabitants with their skilled workmanship and their „Pura Vida“ outlook on life, the natural resources, the patriotic pride that leads to its creation and is in turn carried out into the rest of the world by the rum. – Enjoy the Spirit of Costa Rica!

Ron Centenario has been dubbed the „The Spirit of Costa Rica“, and rightly so.
